The dawn of the crocs!

Ash Grey

Fashion designer christopher kane surely got everyone talking at London fashion  week 017. Long before i'm always a sucker for the strange and crazy and i must say, hats off to you christopher, you beat me to the curve. Crocs are what one would call 'fashion abominition'. Plastic ill fitting, illshaped footwear first intended as beach or boat clogs, but as you know, we fashionistas got creative. Thou shuned by many, it has always been worn in a very casual setting. Back to mister kane! A normal day in the weks festivities untill boom! bejweled crocs begun crawling down the runway, lol i could just imagine the look on critiqes faces when these out casted footwear graced the runway of London fashion week. Personaly i think it was a bold move, yes crocs arn't the loveliest of footwear, but it is sure a fun and playfull one. I think as a stylist, it is a fun foot wear to play with. and besides, you have all the room to DIY the shit out of it and make it your own.
These are some of my favourites from the show, playfull, bold and edgy.

Online diary. Fall style.

Ash Grey
Though this was suppose to be a lifestyle, fashion and style blog there hasn't been much styling from me personally and since of late I finally built the courage to begin my everlasting carear as a fashion mogul. Starting with, stylist. Ive always loved styling but never really had the right platform to do it, but now i'm starting to costruct a portfolio in which I would love to share the journey with the world with. Never the less it is the season most if not all who worships fashion has been waiting for. Fall, the season where your free to where oversised sweaters, boots and the works. So here goes my first two out fits of the fall.

Lifestyle addiction. Cafe Blue ( review)

Ash Grey

I look to two things in the morning, God and Coffe. Since i moved back to the big city for my second year of college i've always wanted somewhere where i can go and unwind and be inspiered, now i truley can say  found said place. Sadly it has always been there but i've never thought of one day actually trying it out and boy i was missing out on ultimate life. Cafe Blue, with 5 locations in jamaica i am only privy to one, Cafe blue soverign, located in legunea kingston. Cafe blue is the perfect get away from a hot day at home or a long day at work or even just simply grab and go to,  its just perfect, expecially for someone like me who enjoys blogging. I would say its the all new york iced coffe blogger life feel, if that makes any sense. Cafe blue soverign attracts uptowners who knows the true meaning of a cafe, thou a little pricey, thier array of gourment coffe hot or cold, made from authentic blue mountain coffe is worth every penny! And not only that, it is the perfect chill spot, wether to meet up with friends and chat, or like me, to go and write. The air conditoning, warm customer service and steller decor makes this possible. All in all, for all you coffe lovers local and abroad be sure to stop by any location near you. You wont regret it! #Coffeislife

Jamaican stylists outlook.

Ash Grey
The jamaican fashion diaspora is one that has always been admierd on a global scale, inspiering man, woman and child from all walks of life. Mesh marina and dancehall. Green, yellow and red "rasta colours" has always played a role in propelling jamaican fashion on the global market, but i fear that this is'nt enough, as a fashion designer and an aspiring stylist, who one day with hopes to chanage the game for the jamaican fashion scene, especially where styling is concerned,  that there is just not enough being done, where "Fashion is art " is concerned. Dont get me wrong, you have the likes of Kerry-Ann Clarke (kerryman woman and home) , Rasheade st Patrick (Kingston belle), Jordan Anderson (symbiosity) , Ashley (Ashslay blog), Natasha lee-duhaney (stylishlee). Just to name a few who I admier and hold as a source of inspiration who are making a mark as Jamaican stylists. But as my lecturer said yesterday in a rather intruiging conversation about Jamaican stylists, "who and when is someone going to pave a new path for fashion". Other than conforming to what's already there, not just waiting on Beyonce or rihanna to wear something on the red carpet or vogue to publish something for us to "Follow". i am a strong believer in pushing bondries and one day be apart of the movement that will erase the thin line drawn between fashion and art.
