Fashion season, Jamaica!!

Hola, Hello, Bonjour, Ciao. lol practicing, don't judge me! So its time again were Jamaica lights up with fashion as far as the eyes can see, one week of non stop high fashion from designers from all corners of the Caribbean and the world! yes style week is upon us thanks to Dwight petets, saint international. What i'm most excited for is "fashion block" were the the last night of style week Knoxford boulevard in new Kingston Jamaica is transformed into a runway. Sounds exciting isn't it! And that is just style week. There is much more to come.Such as Caribbean fashion week's (Cfw) new venue at Villa ronai.

CHANNEL-PRE takes over Cuba!

Pairs, New-York, Figi, France, heck! even Serbia! nope, Lagerfeld decided to take vogue to Cuba! the times are really upon us, because I've never thought I'd live to see the day. Karl lagerfeld i see you!! Channel-pre SS17 was so beautiful and to think he took the movement to Cuba. This has been the first major fashion show to be held in Cuba since relations has been restored with the U.S. I loved it non the less. i must say this was a smart move and i laud you Lagerfeld. Taking high fashion to Cuba is a bold move, surely got COCO smiling from vogue heaven. Men, women, children, Chanel- pre  was inspired by the countries rich culture and the opening up of Cuba has always been a inspiration of Lagerfeld. MET GALA in review.

First of all let me start off  by saying that i am outraged!! and disappointed.  I commend Anna Wintour and the team for yet again another beautiful MET and a rather interesting theme at that "Manus X Machina: fashion in an age of technology" darling you will forever be queen and the Met Gala is such a beautiful event appreciating the art that is fashion. But! here is the question that s on the tip my toung! WHERE WAS RIHANNA!!!!!!!! don't get me wrong i'm a die hearted navy! but it seems that hunny spent up all her money on Guo Pei last year lol, but all jokes aside i was looking forward to seeing her! the Kardashians was looking the same!

all was so boring, except Taylor Swift that changed it up a little, looking all bad-ass not met gala worthy but i loved the look nonetheless. Zayn malik look super futuristic and techy as in accordance to the theme and oooh my god Rita ora was stunning! and so was Claire danes in that glowing Zac posen gown, Nicki minaj was ok i guess (shrugs) and dont get me started on Beyonce's latex dress! or her sister Solonge!

International Jazz day.

JAZZ! an African american musical art form that originated from new Orleans in the 19th and early 20th century. Yesterday, in my timeline was international Jazz day. And my college, Edna Manley school of visual and performing arts, hosted a concert on the lawns of Devon house with performers such as Myrna Hague and Lynn Seaton. soulful, jazzy performances. But, while all that was happening there was also me and 3 other of my school mates doing interactive performance painting on the side capturing the soul of Jazz in painting and at the end they would be auctioned off.

This one my school mate and close friend did together. Focusing on the oppression of black people in the times and how Jazz emerged serving as a beacon of hope and soul.
